SOLD – I have a very rare Randall Model # 1 available. This knife was made around 1963 and has some very collectible features. The knife has a 8″ stainless blade that has some very faint sharpening scratches that are very hard to see. The Randall logo is etched and the ricasso is stamped SS. Stainless blades were stamped in this fashion for a very brief period 1963 – 1964. The knife is fitted with a double brass hilt which has five spacers separating the hilt from the handle. The stacked leather handle is tight to the tang of the knife and is finished off with a brass butt cap and brass nut. The brass butt balances the knife nicely and was an option that was added to this knife. The standard butt cap would have been duralumin. The knife comes with a Johnson rough back model “C” sheath that is also riveted. The sheath is a rarity as well, You just don’t see these sheaths as they were sold as a option at the time this knife was made. The sheath houses the correct blue print combination stone.

I can count on one hand the number on double SS Model # 1’s that I have seen. This is a great find for the advanced Model # 1 collector.
