SOLD- Randall Knife Model # 19 vintage Astro with brown micarta handle

SOLD – I have for sale a very early Randall Model # 19 (Astro) that was most likely one of the first Astros that were made around 1960 – 1961. The knife has a 5 1/2″ carbon steel blade which retains the original Randall grind and finish. The blade has some staining and pitting on the blade. The pitting is only located on the non-logo side of the blade. The nickel silver hilt is extremely wide @ 3 5/16″ in width. The handle scales are made of very desirable brown micarta and held in place with two thru bolts. The leather wrist thong is original to the knife and correct for this period. The knife comes with an excellent Johnson roughback (splitback)  model “C” sheath. The rivets and snaps are all intact The sheath houses a yellow print Combination Crystolon stone that is unused. It is very difficult to locate these early Astros with brown micarta as most of these knives were put to hard use and discarded over the last 50 years. Thanks for viewing, Steve Zimmerman.
