Home/SOLD KNIVES OF COLLECTOR INTREST
Randall Model # 2 – 8″, early 70’s, Separate “S”, nickel hilt, seven spacers, DELRIN handle (rare), black model “C” riveted sheath (rare) – MINT ! – SOLD – looking to buy call 815-236-7323
SOLD – I didn’t think this knife would last long on the site. It has to be one of the best looking Model # 2’s from the early 70’s that I have ever photographed. It is highly optioned and looks like the day it left the Randall shop. The knife has an 8″ stainless steel ( separate “S” ) blade that retains the original Randall grind and finish. Randall Made Knives stamped all the stainless blades during 1967-1972 with two separate stamps before changing the process to a stamp that had the S machined along side the Randall logo. The knife is fitted with a double nickel silver hilt (option) which has a stack of seven spacers separating it from the handle. The handle is made from Delrin which was an available (option) handle material from 1967 – 1972. Delrin is a white polymer and is very smooth to the touch. To finish off the handle there’s a duralumin butt cap, this is also an option. The sheath is in incredible condition as well. The knife has been stored out of the sheath and the keeper strap and throat of the sheath shows no signs of knife storage. The sheath was ordered with the following options, dyed black, Model “C” style and optional rivets. The gold paracords are original and correct for this period. The sheath houses a Norton SP-13 stone which is also correct for this period knife and sheath.
If You collect early Model # 2’s then You know how difficult it is to find an example with a Delrin handle and one with all these options ! This is one of those knives I could never get tired of looking at !
Thanks for viewing !
